Treatment by ozonization Print E-mail
Water treatment:

Adapting and reusing water resources for agricultural use with the best current techniques in water reuse, disinfection and management, is a service that Agrintel offers its clients, with the consideration and importance that this production factor has in their operations.

Water coming from the outflow of different uses, with different origins and compositions, is possible to reuse as a new resource by means of appropriate treatment and handling. Different pathogens are present in irrigation water (bacteria, virus, nematodes) and they are the cause of various very serious illnesses in humans as well as in animals and vegetables.

Disinfection is recommended to prevent their transmission and spreading through this medium. After an appropriate study, our technical department can offer you the best solution in order to be able to reuse the drainage from your soil-less plants, reuse waste water from human and industrial processes, mitigate the problems of transmitting illnesses through irrigation water, adapt the sanitary conditions of the water for its use in fruit and vegetable washing processes, for sanitary use, etc.

Treatment by ozonization:

Ozone (O3) is produced after the recombination of oxygen atoms dissociated from their original state (O2 molecule) with other oxygen molecules, an unstable gas being obtained in this way that is used for the disinfection of water, air and closed spaces because of its high oxidizing power.

An appropriate system for monitoring the production, dosage, dispersion and reaction allows a highly effective disinfection process against all type of microorganisms and virus.

An ozonization installation has the following elements:
  • Low speed filtration by means of a sand bed with back-flushing (recommendable, although the ozonization process allows waters to be treated with a small load of organic matter in suspension).
  • Feed air filtration (case of using atmospheric air as the oxygen source), atmospheric oxygen concentrator or, failing this, a pure oxygen storage facility.
  • Ozone generator, the basis of the production is obtained by means current discharge in a high-voltage reactor, formed by dielectric discharge plates between which the gas flows that provides the oxygen. The compact production unit has other systems necessary for the proper operation of the process (dehumidifier, electronic control board, air delivery equipment, cooling system, etc.).
  • Dosage, with injectors or blower pumps with baffles.
  • Reaction tank.
  • Dosage monitoring system, ORP controller, alarms, operating time, etc.
